Welcome to the online home of Sweet Stella where I love to create special moments everyday. Life is way too short to not enjoy simple pleasures, so having some fun, eating something delicious, and gazing upon or creating something beautiful, is what matters to me, especially when shared with friends and family.
I may be creating something at home in the kitchen trying out a new sweet recipe, or working on some decoration for an upcoming celebration. One way or another, I’ll do whatever I can to squeeze in time doing something I love. I’m visually driven so for me presentation is everything.
So I’m now translating my passion into Sweet Stella to provide my friends, family and clients with special moments that will bring joy and memories to any special occasion, specializing in lolly or sweet buffets to wow your guests. Lolly buffets are a great way to provide a visual statement and focus to your event, and give your guests an opportunity to mingle as they choose their sweet treats to either take home or enjoy at your event.
I’d love to have you follow my journey with regular updates on the latest ideas, recipes and Sweet Stella events. Enjoy!
Like alot of people I love to decorate and always seemed to have to do it on a budget. Being married to a mechanic (not the best paying job) and raising 4 daughters, finances have always been tight. So decorating and creating a homely inviting atmosphere has always been a challenge but something that has always been important to me. Being surrounded by the things I love makes me happy and I want to offer a place of comfort, style and character that relfects who I am when people visit our home. Decorating or styling has often extended into jobs for friends, rewarding me with another outlet for the creative juices to flow and often provided some extra income. My many and varied obsessions often helped put food on the table and pay for my materials. Quilting and folk art evolved into a little craft business ‘Homespun Country Cottage’ back in the ’90′s until having my third and fourth daughters, (yes my husband is surrounded by girls). I pulled back for quite a few years to focus on motherhood and then discovered photoshop, (another obsession emerged). Determined to go from someone who could hardly turn a computer on to producing graphics for print.
2005 I moved into the area of events for women starting a conference in our local area called ‘Kissed the Girls and Made Them Cry’, (check out our website soulalliance.com.au). Decorating for these conferences renewed my passion for creating atmosphere, and it has been through these conferences that I have come to understand the power and influence it has upon women. Women felt valued and inspired when they came into a beautiful environment building their confidence and often renewed their dreams.
My hope is to inspire and be inspired and share some more beauty in this world. To strengthen family ties and friendships through the wonderful simple moments that present themselves to us everyday. I want to pause and create memories knowing that they are the things we and our children will remember. That life and relationship is worth celebrating, and in doing so we leave a legacy of memories.
